Joy, Restored reimagines a previously flipped home by stripping away unnecessary arches and restoring a sense of clarity, warmth, and character. The kitchen was relocated to create a seamless connection with the dining and living areas, anchored by a full wall of custom cabinetry that conceals kitchen storage while housing the homeowners' record collection. A new stained glass window above the sink filters light and preserves privacy, obscuring the direct view into the neighboring home while becoming a defining architectural feature.

During construction, a vintage Batchelder tile fireplace was uncovered and thoughtfully reframed with a new mantle and hearth, restoring it as the heart of the home. Rich color, layered materials, and thoughtful detailing bring warmth throughout, while a playful checkerboard-inspired kids' bath and a serene, immersive primary suite balance whimsy with retreat.
